We got to photograph a women’s retreat for Wake Up Dream Big, which is is a nationwide health, wellness, and lifestyle brand based out of Los Angeles, California.

Emily of Wake up Dream Big chose to host their retreat at Cactus Moon in Joshua Tree. It was the perfect venue for it. So relaxing for their yoga and reiki sessions. Beautiful views of the desert while they relaxed by the pool. And of course the Joshua trees and cacti were my favorite! I feel like these images really show the mood of their weekend and they are so calming. Definitely needed right now!

This retreat was the weekend right before things got super crazy with Covid-19. Who would have known the following Monday we would be asked to stay in our homes and don’t travel to help flatten the coronavirus curve. Here we are 1 month after, still staying at home. It makes me happy to blog this session while we stay safer at home. It’s nice to reminisce on the last event we got to photograph. We got to not only candidly photograph the event, but we did mini photography branding sessions for each of the ladies so we got to a lot of what we love that day!
